Our Corporate and Social Responsibility

Cabot Credit Management believes in conducting business in a manner which achieves sustainable growth whilst showing a high degree of social responsibility.

Demonstrating its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a journey in which it aims to align its business values, purpose and strategy with the social and economic needs of its stakeholders whilst embedding responsible and ethical business policies and practices in everything it does.

Part of this strategy involves supporting charities through each of its businesses. The employees at each site chose a charity for the year and organise a number of fundraising activities to raise money. The amount raised is matched by the business at the end of the year.  The charities chosen for 2015 include:

Cabot Financial, Kings Hill, Kent

Heart for Kent Hospice http://www.hokh.org

Heart of Kent Hospice is an independent charity providing expert care for people who are facing the challenge of a life limiting illness in their own homes, in the community or at the Hospice, free of charge. Our catchment area includes Maidstone, Aylesford, Tonbridge and Malling and the surrounding villages.

Choosing to make a donation to Heart of Kent Hospice helps our specialist teams provide an exceptional level of specialist end of life care for nearly 1,000 patients and their families each year. We aim to improve their quality of life and help make every day precious.

Every donation, of whatever size, is very gratefully received and we thank you wholeheartedly. It costs over £4m a year to run our services and we rely heavily on the generosity of the community we serve through fundraising, donations and the support of our volunteers.

Cabot Financial, Worthing
Chestnut Tree House http://www.chestnut-tree-house.org.uk/

Chestnut Tree House provides specialist palliative care to children and young people with life-shortening illnesses across East Sussex, West Sussex and South East Hampshire.

Life-shortening means that the children are unlikely to reach adulthood and includes disorders such as Muscular Dystrophy, Cystic Fibrosis, multiple disabilities, cancer and progressive genetic disorders.

The hospice provides support for the whole family, offering psychological support, respite care and sibling support, end of life care and support following bereavement.

As well as the care provided at the House, we have a team of Community Nurses delivering care and support in families’ own homes. The need for care in the child’s home is increasing and sadly we are now providing more end of life care in families’ homes than at the hospice.

Chestnut Tree House currently cares for 300 children and young people and more than 100 bereaved families.

It costs well over £3 million each year to provide all the care services, both at the hospice and out in the community in families’ own homes. Chestnut Tree House receives less than 8% from central government funding so relies heavily on the support of the local community in order to continue providing this vital care to local sick children and their families.
